Ueno is famous for its park and zoo, which are aptly named Ueno Park and Ueno Zoo. In order to go to the Zoo, you have to go into the public park. The zoo was founded in the 1880's and is home to some giant pandas. Unfortunately, my friends and I did not all see the pandas because we had split up into smaller groups. Kanashii (So sad!). Nor did my group see the lion! Silly lion, why were you sleeping!
Anyway, the zoo itself is famous for its pandas. Upon walking in, you are greeted by a cute panda statue, which is in my photo below.
The panda merch (merchandise) is almost overwhelming! Also, the zoo is filled with other panda statues, as well as statues of other animals. Now, I get to flood you with other photos I took of the various animals in Ueno Doubutsu-en ("Animal Park" or zoo). Gomen nee~! (Sorry!) We were rushed for time and thus, I was unable to take lots of photos around the zoo. With that being said, let's dive into my photos of zoo animals!
It's my home school's mascot!....At least, it's the same animal as him....
Mr. Lion left us his lunch trash to look at as he rested somewhere else. Silly Kitty, I wanted to see you. :(
Gomen Nee! So many pictures! I thought I had only selected a few, but every one of them came up! I deleted a few, but still. Enjoy!
Great pictures! Thank you for letting us join you on your fantastic journey. I love your blog!
